Project Sokina Guillemot :

Paper cut animation on rostrum camera made with Cédric Bourde to promote the work of Sokina Guillemot, an artist working in particular on silk painting.

The animation here attempts to promote a possible new aspect of his work that would be surfboard customization.

Storyboard and Animatics :

Storyboard Animation Surf - Projet Sokina

For this animation, we chose to represent the surf and patterns in action and in interaction with the waves. We wanted to work on the transparency of the water, especially with an underwater view.

In the animation, we have chosen to represent several patterns on the surfboards to show the various possibilities that Sokina Guillemot can achieve, as well as to show the extent of her work and her universe.

Graphics Research :

We made different wave animation tests to better understand the movement of the water but also to look for the mediums and colors we wanted to use in our work.

We relied in particular on a collage exercise realized with Sokina to find a first assortment of colors that we used in the realization of a first animatics. We then reworked this animatics with a new assortment of colors chosen this time by Sokina.
